Rahela Jagrič Pirc is a Slovenian director and screenwriter. She earned her Master’s degree in Film & TV Directing from Bournemouth University (UK) in 2009. Since then, she has worked across numerous international productions spanning Europe, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, and South America, and has participated in prestigious artist residencies and film labs, including Berlinale Talents, Kyoto Film Lab, Reykjavík Talent Lab, New York Artist Residency, the Nipkow Fellowship (Germany), the Ingmar Bergman Artist Residency on Fårö Island (Sweden), and the UGC Writers Campus at Series Mania (France). In 2024, Rahela became a voting member of the European Film Academy.

In 2021, she directed and co-wrote her debut feature film The Space Among Us, which won international and Slovenian awards. Following the success of her feature, she worked as an episodic director on Slovenia’s most-watched TV series Hidden in Paradise / Skrito v raju (Pop TV/Pro Plus). In 2025–2026, she continued directing for television, contributing to the Slovenian series Nemirna kri (POP TV/Pro Plus) and the popular Croatian series Divlje Pčele (RTL Production).

Alongside her television work, Rahela is currently (2025/2026) in production on the documentary series Young Above, Old Below, produced by FilmServis and supported by the Slovenian Film Center. She is also developing her second feature film, Carving Dreams.
